NGO criteria

Is your organisation officially registered as a non-governemental organisation (NGO)? You work as an officially registered NGO, operating in a  DAC-country (including Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia).

  • Is your organisation supporting the  RAP-rule of Youth Incentives? Your programmes:
    - include access for young people to information and education about their sexual and reproductive health and tries to realize the best sexual and reproductive health services possible for them;
    - contribute to the empowerment of young people so they can be confident and have pleasure in all aspects of their relationships, including sexuality;
    - include young people in all stages of programme development (from identification to planning, implementation and evaluation).
  • Is your organisation willing and able to share information?
    Your organisation is willing to share information and offer assistance to Youth Organisations, as well as act as a source of support.
  • Is your organisation involved or is it willing to be involved in international or national advocacy work? Lessons learned from partnership programmes/projects are shared and used to rally support for comprehensive youth sexual and reproductive health programmes.
  • Is your organisation part of a network? Your organisation is, or is willing to be, an active member of an existing network of development organisations.
  • Does your organisation have a positive reputation with national or international organisations? Your organisation is transparent and exchanges information on project activities, including financial statements.
