Youth Adult Partnership training (YAP-training), 20 – 23 March 2006
Youth Incentives participated in this training about collaboration between youth and adults. The training took place in Dublin, Ireland and was hosted by the Irish Family Planning Association (IFPA). The training was organised by the International Planned Parenthood Federation European Network (IPPF-EN), the European Youth Network on Sexual and Reproductive Rights (YouAct) and the European NGOs for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Population and Development (EuroNGOs).
Couples of an adult in a leading management position from a Member Association of the European IPPF and a young person visited the Youth Adult Partnership training to learn how to collaborate or improve collaboration between youth and adults. The young people were either volunteer with the Member Association or representing a youth organisation from different countries, The training took four days and elements of the training were:

try to define youth participation and youth adult partnerships

obstacles to start and implement youth adult partnerships

skills of communication
-
the development of an action plan
This training and the results of it will be modified to a Youth Adult Partnership training to be used by all Member Associations.
